Poetry Parent Day
Poetry Parent Day will take place on Sunday 14th October 2018, with Mr Finbarr Walsh as the guest speaker. Mr Walsh is the father of the late Donal Walsh, the Kerry teenager who touched so many lives, through his writings and anti-suicide message. When Donal was a guest on ‘The Saturday Night Show’ his message was to live life to the fullest.
Donal’s parents have established the Livelife Foundation to continue to promote Donal’s anti-suicide message and the theme of Mr Walsh’s talk will be Livelife. This is a valuable opportunity to hear Finbarr’s testimony of what a wonderful young person Donal was – whose courage was mentioned in the recent Kairos retreats in Maynooth.
The day will begin at 09.20 with refreshments in the concourse. Mr Walsh will be in The Boys’ Chapel at 09.50 and we will finish with Eucharist in the Sports Hall at 11.30. Afterwards you are very welcome to have lunch in the refectory. In your response, please let us know if you will be staying for lunch so we can give accurate numbers to our catering staff.
Please RSVP to lgriffin@clongowes.net or at 045 838294.
