Full Boarding – for a Fuller Life
A day in the life of a boarder at Clongowes is packed full from 7am – 10pm. As all boys are full boarders, they enjoy living with their friends and building life-long bonds.
The day is designed to promote positive routines, community spirit and well-rounded development. Follow a student through their day at Clongowes, from breakfast to lights out, to get a sense of what life is really like at our boarding school.

Each student has the opportunity, support and guidance to help them develop and grow to their full potential. Our facilities are second to none, with on-site golf course, multiple rugby pitches and tennis courts, pool and hydrotherapy, and much much more.
Clongowes is a mobile phone-free learning environment during the day, with the boys getting access to their phones for only 1.5 hours in the evening. Though as parents attest, they often prefer taking part in the many co-curricular activities at Clongowes from sport, to music, drama, debating or just relaxing with friends!

Irish Education and University Entry
Since 1814, Clongowes alumni have been leaders in the area of business, sports, politics and the arts. The Irish equivalent of A-Levels is the Leaving Certificate. It is a globally recognised qualification, recognised and accepted by top universities including Russell Group, Oxbridge and more. Our track record of excellent Leaving Certificate results opens the door to leading universities globally for our boys.
