Due to the adverse weather conditions, the cake sale planned for next, Sunday 4th March, has been deferred until Sunday 22nd April, when a number of students from Syntax will host a cake sale with a difference after Sunday Mass in the Concourse area.
Mr Aran McMahon (OC’88) who runs the award winning Rua Restaurant, Delicatessen and Shop in Castlebar, Co. Mayo has very kindly offered to help the boys to prepare some delicious treats, cake and breads for sale on Sunday morning.
There will also be Clongowes wine, some seasonal plants to remind us of spring and of course some music to lift the spirits. Expect a raffle for a beautiful Irish food hamper as well as home made lemonade and balloons for children.
The boys are looking forward to improving their baking skills and learning from Mr. McMahon whose boys Rory (OC’17) and Paddy ( Elements) have had some of the best filled tuck boxes !
All funds raised will go towards the Duck Push, which once again will raise monies to fund medical equipment for Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin.
Many thanks in advance for your support!
