Last Sunday, 7th September, six Rhetoric students travelled to Lourdes as part of the annual Dublin Diocesan Pilgrimage. Spencer Adamson, James Caffrey, Darragh Counihan, Richard Flood, Rowan Osborne and Alex O’Sullivan are working each day with sick or elderly pilgrims in order to try and make it a more enjoyable experience for them. Three of the boys are on ward support and three are working as stewards during the Masses and Healing Services. The work is demanding as they are on their feet from early morning until quite late at night, but it is very rewarding.
While they were in Lourdes the boys contributed to the Dublin Diocese Website’s blog on Lourdes, which you can view here: http://www.dublindiocese.ie/
The boys, accompanied by Mr Francis Marron, Ms Anne Marie Dolan and Australian GAP Student, Angus Higgins will be in Lourdes until Friday and we ask that you keep the pilgrimage in your prayers until they return.
