Union Bicentenary Event (Incorporating Fr. Kenney Day)
Saturday 21st June 2014 – Clongowes Wood College
As you will now be aware, this year marks the 200th anniversary of your alma mater – Clongowes Wood College. The Rector and Headmaster have kindly offered Clongowes Union use of the school facilities on Saturday 21st June for past pupils to gather, walk the corridors, reminisce and even be competitive once again on the sports fields!
All past pupils of Clongowes are invited to join in celebrating this happy occasion and to recognise the outstanding achievement of Clongowes Wood College being at the forefront of education in Ireland for 200 years. The day will also coincide with the annual Fr Kenney Day, which is traditionally celebrated by Clongownians who have left the school over 40 years ago.

12.00pm Union Soccer Blitz, Union Golf Event, OC Cricket Match
1.00pm Rolling Registration and Refreshments
2.30pm Tours and Talks / Today & Yesterday
4.30pm Mass – co celebrated by Bishop Denis Nulty and Fr. Michael Sheil SJ, Rector
5.45pm John Bruton OC’65 address
6.15pm Clongowes Bi-Centenary Wine Launch
6.30pm Buffet Dinner in the Refectory
Barton’s Buses departing from Burlington Hotel Dublin at 11.00am and 13.00pm. €15.00 return, please book your place immediately!
