Clongowes Wood College is Ireland’s only remaining 7-day boarding school for boys aged 11 – 18. Set in beautiful surroundings, thirty kilometres from Dublin in the heart of the Co. Kildare countryside, we are a Catholic school in the Jesuit tradition. Clongowes strives to support students in their growth towards a greater understanding and awareness of their faith and the part that this plays in their lives.

Sport plays a big role in the boys’ daily lives, with weekly matches for all sports teams. Our extensive sports facilities allow boys to explore a multitude of different sports, from rugby and cricket, to golf and swimming, tennis and fencing and many more. Through their studies and their sports, we teach the boys to become Men for Others. Boys leave Clongowes with confidence, strong work ethic, compassion, and a strength of character that allows them to pursue their ambitions and opportunities beyond the school, such as in Higher Education, Politics, Law, and Industry.
