Fr Moloney leaving CWC - Clongowes Wood College

Posted: 15th February 2015

Last Tuesday (10th February), Fr Leonard Moloney SJ announced that he would be stepping down as Headmaster of Clongowes Wood College in August, after eleven years in the position. In a letter to parents Fr Moloney said:

‘Having served for almost eleven years, I will be leaving with not a little sadness and with great memories as I move on from what is a great community of people.

I am very grateful to you for your commitment to and support of Clongowes over these past years. May I wish you and your sons every blessing for the future.

As there is no Jesuit available, at least at present, to take my place due to the fewness of vocations over recent decades, we will be advertising for my replacement later in the week. The Jesuit commitment to the College, however, is unchanged: this school holds a very special place in the heart and mind of the Province.

Asking for your prayerful support over the coming months in the search process for a new Head,

I remain

Yours sincerely,

Leonard sj
