We are delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Tom McKeown as the new Head Coach of the Clongowes Wood College Senior Cup Team (SCT).
Tom is a well known figure in Irish rugby through his involvement as a player and coach. Tom is currently Head Coach of the MU Barnhall U20s, has assisted with the Mens All Ireland League team and was Assistant Coach to the Gonzaga College SJ SCT for the past 3 seasons.
Headmaster Chris Lumb said: “We are very pleased indeed to welcome Tom to Clongowes. His experience and proven track record in schools and university rugby make him a tremendous asset to our rugby programme.”
Tom McKeown said: “I am delighted to join Clongowes Wood College as the Head Coach. Clongowes has a proud tradition within schools’ rugby, and I hope to add to that in the future. The facilities and support within the school are second to none. I am very much looking forward to working with the SCT players and coaches. ”
Tom will take up the position of SCT Head Coach alongside coaching Leinster U18 and his role as Maynooth University Rugby Development Manager.
