Even Fr Moloney’s dog Trampas got involved in our whole school D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read) event! Students and staff had the freedom to choose to read what they wished. For some it was a magazine, for others a newspaper and for more a book either in print or electronic format.
We held our D.E.A.R. event on World Book Day, Thurs May 5th, first period after lunch. In the past we ran it as a 20min event but this year extended it to a full class, doubling its duration. This literacy initiative has become a fixture on our calendar and looks likely to stay, particularly with the success of its extension this year. Thanks to all for your support with this event.
