May Day, Wednesday 1st saw we hope the start of a new annual event for the college – The CWC Table Quiz run by The Ladies Association. The evening was a tremendous success in many ways. There were up to 200 highly competitive people in the Boys Ref., including members of the catering and teaching staff together with parents, guardians and friends. The evening was directed by the very competent and entering MC/Quiz Master Mr. Billy O’Sullivan who together with his wife Hilary kept the event flowing with fun and laughter. The team of Syntax boys, led by Oisin Carey and Dan O’Mahony, was superb with their IT expertise and general hard work under the eagle eye of Mr. Kelly.
I wish to take this opportunity to thank all who contributed in any way, which helped make The Quiz a great success. All the proceeds of the night – over €6,000 – will go to The Jack Kavanagh Fund.
