Clongowes Wood College SJ is delighted to have been nominated in the Best Education/Third Level category for this year’s 2015 Web Awards to be held in the RDS on Thursday, 15th October. With over 30 different categories and some serious competition we are delighted to be in such good company in this years finals, where we will be keeping our fingers and all of our toes crossed.
The Clongowes website has undergone major reconstruction in recent years and it is wonderful to see the hard work of so many recognised by this prestigious event. Together we use the website and various social media to complement one another in providing useful sources of information for students, staff, parents and alumni.
The articles which featured in the application process were Richard McElwee’s rather lyrical report on the Staff v Students soccer match and ‘Swing Voters’ an article on a Mock Referendum by Stephen McAleese & David Gannon (now Grammar). Credit also to Mr Barry Bowen, who saw the possibilities and entered the school in the competition during the summer.
